Summer’s not over. Not yet. I’m not ready for that and in order to celebrate, I decided to revisit an old favorite of mine, a.k.a. my go-to summer breakfast. I last posted a recipe for overnight oats over a year ago (Banana-Mixed Berries anyone?), and while the base recipe basically hasn’t changed, I made three major changes to it, by adding:

  • chia seeds
  • frozen berries
  • quick cooking oats instead of old fashioned

Although these changes might seem minimal, they transformed my morning overnight oats experience. Continue reading “Raspberry Overnight Oats with Chia Seeds”

Finals season is upon us, so I thought I should “celebrate” by posting one of my favorite study snacks on the blog. For all of my college students readers out there, this one’s a keeper. I mean, espresso, chocolate and granola all at once??? Talk about a match made in heaven! Continue reading “Choco-Espresso Study Granola with Quinoa”

You know, like for chocolate chip cookies? Or banana bread? I know I’ve been looking for the best banana bread recipe for as long as I can remember (or ever since I came to the US and discovered this delectable treat). Three years later, I’m happy to announce that I finally found it! Continue reading “The Ultimate Banana Bread”

Chicken and Fajita Vegetables Swiss Chard Burrito

DSC_0005 DSC_0041-2 recettebilingue I’ve been home for over a week now, and all I’ve been doing is eat. Seriously… It’s partly due to the fact that it’s the holiday-season but I also simply can’t control myself when my dad’s cooking. I tend to forget how good it is when I go back to school, and then I fall right back into it when I go home. In many ways, it’s a daily test to my self-control that I fail miserably. So in preparation for today’s New Year’s Eve dinner, I felt like I needed a “detox” lunch. Continue reading “Chicken and Fajita Vegetables Swiss Chard Burrito”

Fridge Friday: Avocado Chicken Salad, No-Mayo

Another day, another toast! With chicken salad, no mayo anyone? This toast recipe is the last one I’ll post for a while, but as I previously mentioned open-faced sandwiches have been my go-to rushed meals recently. And since this chicken salad is so good, I figured that I’d share it with you even if I recently posted another toast recipe (combining Scrambled eggs, broccoli rabe, and shiitake!).
