This past weekend, I travelled to London to visit some of my friends. For dinner, we went to a delicious Peruvian restaurant called Ceviche, near Old Street. Ceviche is one of these places that really have it all. Great food, delectable drinks, careful service, and a hip atmosphere. A few weeks ago, I visited my best friend in Montreal for my Fall break. For the second year in a row, I fell head over heels for this city (minus the cold). For the second year in a row, I was amazed by all that it has to offer (food included!).

For starters, I was conveniently there for Canadian thanksgiving. Since I had only ever celebrated the American one, it was exciting to compare the two. We got together and cooked ourselves a delicious Friendsgiving, and let me tell you it was one for the books! First difference was the bird: no turkey on our menu… Instead, we went for Peruvian-style chicken from rotisserie Romados, which is apparently a Montreal institution. Speak of my kind of holiday! Continue reading “Wild Salmon Ceviche Salad, Meyer Lemon-Ginger Dressing”

It involved walking across Philadelphia to stop at each of their location for free samples of cheese, chocolate, and drinks among others. Surprisingly, the pouring rain didn’t stop this event from being a huge success. Continue reading “Creamy Ricotta and Caramelized Eggplant Rotini”

Hi all!

Long time, no post. I just got back from an amazing trip to Turkey and brought back a ton of recipes and inspiration for delicious dishes with me. I didn’t want to spend too much time cooking today, since I had plenty to catch up on at home, so I decided to dive into that “one-pot” frenzy that’s been going around the web.

Fridge Fridays are back, and with this new edition, I chose to turn some leftovers into a super fresh and tasty summer lunch! The other day, I was browsing my instagram feed when I saw a post with the hashtag “bestovers”. I loved it! Why? Because too often, leftovers are disregarded and go to waste. They’re not “glam”, or “pretty”, or “appetizing”, so some people simply forget them. I’d like to change that vision! Leftovers can be delicious, and in some cases, leftovers can be even better than the original thing. In other words, they truly can be “bestovers”!
